HDFC Credit Card payment reversed.

Hi,
My HDFC BizBlack statement was generated on 07th November, 2024. I made the payment using Payzapp on 08th November, 2024. The payment went through successfully. But on 11th November, I received the amount back into my account.
Tried calling the helpline, but they were not aware of the reason. Anyone else faced the same issue?

Is the due cleared on your hdfc credit card?

Nowadays it's instant when we make any payment to credit cards

Similar thing happened to me, call CC they will provide you unique16 digits number associated with your 14 digit biz black. Unfortunately, you can only pay through NEFT add that 16 as acc number and IFSC as HDFC0000128 as a new beneficiary to any bank account and make payment.

Sadly even payzapp which is HDFC's own app doesnt recognise this card

Yes the payment was received against the card and the amount due was cleared instantly on 08th November.

I agree, this was the first time I received such a problem.

The card is recognised in my Payzapp. This has been the first time I have received this problem. I have been using Payzapp since a long time for paying off my credit card dues. I believe there has been some technical issues with Payzapp which has caused this problem. Hope its resolved soon.

The card is recognised in my Payzapp. This has been the first time I have received this problem. I have been using Payzapp since a long time for paying off my credit card dues. I believe there has been some technical issues with Payzapp which has caused this problem. Hope its resolved soon.
If dues is cleared enjoy the 50 days interest free time😂

Yes, I also had done my Regalia Gold and Rupay credit card payments through payzapp using debit card mode on 8th Nov. Rupay card got reversed and credited back to my SB yesterday (11th Nov) and the Regalia Gold also got reversed and credited today (12th Nov).

Customer Care does not have information as to why this happened and asked to call after 48 hours to confirm the reason for this. Since the amount is already credited back in to SB a/c, they advised to re-initiate payment in other mode than I did last time.

Since all the transactions are documented and the reversal is not because of issue from my end, I was assured that the payment done now (after due date) will not be penalized and if such thing happens, they will help out in undoing that.

I always make sure to check instant PAYMENT SMS from the CC bank. I recheck by visiting the UNBILLED transactions in the CC app. I always be cautious while paying CC payments.

I had received the payment received sms. It was also reflecting in the unbilled transactions. It got reversed for some technical reason which I now think is from Payzapp.

If someone is paying more than due amount then that transaction (with higher amount) can go through but it will be reverted by bank at later stage. This is as per latest RBI guidelines. So don't pay excess amount
I did not pay more than the due amount. Also I have been paying off my unbilled dues for ages, haven’t had a problem till now. As per RBI guidelines, you can not pay more than what you have transacted. For eg if you have made transactions and statement not generated yet worth 50,000 but you try to pay off 60,000 then it will not go through. You can pay 50,000 or lower even if the statement is not generated yet.

I had got the payment confirmation for credit card, in credit card unbilled transactions the credit entry was seen the day I did payment, outstanding payment notification was gone. But, on 12th, there was a debit entry in credit card with reference to the credit transaction that happened 4 days before and the outstanding payment got reset! So, it is a reversal that happened for some reason after a successful payment.

I paid exact same amount as billed, no excess amount.

My status is exactly same as what OP described. Probably something has changed in policy which is not disclosed or a temporary glitch.
 
Same happened for me on both of my hdfc credit cards I paid my hdfc diners club privilege and millennia credit card bills from payzapp both got reversed.
I made the transaction on 10th of November and it got reversed on 11 th of November. And today i.e on 13 th November my savings account (indusind) the amount got credited and I was scared after seeing the message this is the first time I've experienced this kind of a situation called cc they said there's a technical glitch for payments on 10th and 11th on payzapp and there's no need to worry as one could see the credit entry in statement that dues are paid. But out of fear i paid the Bill again 😭 other wise I would have saved 50 days interest on my 63000 bill. As the amount is High i was scared
