I am applied for hdfc DCB credit card based on alumni offer.

They approved it.

Initially they approved it based on provisional certificate. They did cibil inquiry.

Now to issue card they are saying to share degree certificate.

But in my college they provided only provisional certificate, marksheet and TC.

Positive experience with Millenia to DCB upgrade under Alumni offer

Long time lurker on the forum... Just wanted to share my DCB upgrade process. Some days back I got a call from HDFC for a pre approved LTF Regalia card. Like it has been mentioned before, instead I got a Millenia and didn't realize it was an agent who gave me the call and not direct employee...

Why do we need degree certificate? It has been ages since I completed my degree and I never collected it from my college and never actually needed it. Everywhere the provisional degree works.

They won't issue on Provisional Degree. I passed out in 2001, and provisional served all my needs. Then for upgrading my Tata Neu Card to DCB on Alumni basis, I had to pay 8.5K to my Alma Mater and get Degree Certificate. Once I shared the Degree, received the card in 4 days.

I can't believe this HDFC's arrogance ... what is this crap about HALF approved... like half cooked... They should have said in the first instance go and bring that blo*dy piece of paper...
