DCB also has fixed limit option too under alumni offer for people who graduated 8 years ago. No income docs required. Fixed limit is 5L.
Have a couple of years more to hit that 8y mark. BTW, by fix limit, they mean initial limit.

But it's hoax tbh. I got DCP ~4.8L (promised fixed limit) and within a month it was reduced to 4.4.
I got a LE to 5.3L (that's when I tried for upgrade to DCB) but they just reduced my limit to 492k 🤣🤣

So don't believe everything HDFC says

Was told by BM. Can't even trust them it seems.

I was also told to apply for tata neu infinity offline on c2c basis, using any of sbi or axis card with limit over 2L. BM said that this way, if my tata neu is approved then limit would be over 2L and since HDFC offers combined limit, my millennia would get updated limit too. But now I am having doubts about it.

That is correct. Hdfc cards are getting combined limits.
Your new card's limit will also increase the old card's limit.

C2C me they would match/exceed the card limit so you may go ahead.
What was the limit that tata neu app offered you?
