Hi Wrote to grievance team for the LTF of DCB it is rejected for now. Am not getting do i need to hold this DCB card
I have Eterna,Magnus,ACE,Flipkart Axis .

Any other suggestion to get LTF for DCB or shall i close the card.

I have imperia account + almost all products from HDFC Subsidiary. Even though i don't have any relationship with axis i got 4 cards 🙁

Please suggest @TechnoFino @hashiro7

*Axis Magnus is good only if you spend 1L a month. Below that you get only 1.2%.
* Eterna rewards of 3.75% is only upto 5000 points. You get 3-3.3% on all DCB transactions.
* Base reward rate on regalia is 1.5%. Which is better than Axis if spends are less than 1L.
What are your limits on Axis & Eterna?
I would suggest keep DCB + one more card as backup depending on your spend pattern.
You will surely get the best limit increase and upgrades with HDFC than any other bank.
That is my personal experience.
Axis magnus and Eterna both are 3 lakh.. This year i can easily spend 5 lakh on DCB so thinking to keep for this year

DCBMagnus
Limit5L3L
Reward Rate3%1.20%
Annual Fee10K10K
Fee Spend waiver5L15L

mentioning only the basics above-
I strong feel its not worth paying for Magnus. Unless you have spends of 15L per anum.
Even then you will get better rewards with DCB.
I am more biased towards HDFC since i have always got the best limit increase and upgrades with them.

Even am more inclined towards HDFC.. Magnus gives us welcome benefit of tata Qlik voucher 10k i need to pay just GST 1800 If i use 1lalkh any one month i will recover 1800 (my view)

Its more advantageous to use DCB as your main card.
You might end up with more than 10L after the next limit enhancement.
Can slowly move up towards Infinia.

Magnus us rewards card right ? EDGE rewards ? ..Booking flights will be costly on these cards ? or we can use DCB rewards on flights ?
you can book flight tickets on magnus, reward rate is around 6.2% on magnus on normal spend of 1lakh. you get rewards in the form of edge rewards... that can be used to buy amazon, flipkart, makemytrip vouchers. you can book it with these vouchers, and also if you book flight on travel edge portal you get 5x reward around (6 percent) on top of monthly 1 lakh spend (25,000 edge point worth 5k) so reward rate for travel through travel edge portal will be 11 percent - if you spend 1 lakh on travel. and in normal condition 6% if you book flight through travel edge.

So both cards are quite good ..Need to be used properly

In terms of rewards, Magnus is much better than DCB if you spend more than 1L pm. Also DCB reward rate of 3.33% is only valid for flight/hotel bookings thru their portal which anyways has much higher rate than normal (skyscanner/other portals). Even with normal spend and using equal redemption criteria in terms of Gift Voucher value, it would be 1.2% (Magnus) against 1.66% (DCB)

DCB has 3% reward rate on all transactions. You get upto 5-10X on their portal.
Flight booking on their portal is thru Cleartrip and yatra, which are very competitive.
Hotel deals are not always great on HDFC.

I meant that you will get this 3% rate only if you redeem your points for flight/hotel booking on Smartbuy as 1 RP = 1 INR there
Otherwise if you redeem your points for Gift voucher or cash credit, the value of 1 RP decreases to 0.5 / 0.2 INR, so your reward rate effectively becomes 1.66% / 0.66%

Even I'm also somewhat biased towards HDFC but Axis Magnus is indeed a very good card not only for high spenders (general) but also for medium spenders as well. If I can't reach to 5lacs spending milestone on DCB then I have to pay the Renewal Fee with GST but in return I will not have any renewal benefit there but in case of Magnus if I pay the renewal fee then I will get 10K TataCliq Voucher which is a great deal. Plus there is no acceptance problem in case of Magnus compare to DCB.

True but TataCliq benefit might be removed anytime as it was introduced only because people could not utilise the Flight voucher because of Corona travel restrictions. Hope this should not happen.

Looking at today's situation,
I would hold both DCB and Magnus. Use DCB and try to reach the 5L spend required for fee waiver.

Later if Axis removes the tatacliq offer, i will cancel that card before the annual fee is charged.
If the tatacliq voucher available, i will pay only the GST of 1800 and hold the card.

If not for hotel/flight redeem options, is DCB worth at all?

Depends on the individual.
My major expense is for flight tickets. I make huge points and also redeem the same.
I you use it sensibility, you can upgrade to Infinia in some time. The you redeem the points to tanishq voucher at 1:1 ratio.
I don't think you need anything more than that.

On top of everything, my best feature of DCB was the unlimited lounge access with the card itself.
No need to carry a separate pass for lounge access.
Now that i have upgraded to Infinia, i see that this is a major disadvantage in carrying separate priority pass.

so not a good card for those who don't travel via flight.
