HDFC FREEDOM+ CARD

hello,
i came accross this community from X
and need a Card asap.
i hold HDFC savings max account and SBI platinum salary account.
Hdfc Offers are showing me freedom+ and swiggy as free.

i do not have cibil history and tried many banks for past 2-3 days , all of them rejected me 😅.
HDFC BM said apply for freedom and than would convert to millenia after 2-3 months.

should i apply?

Without CIBIL no manual credit cards applications will be approved.

Take that pre-approved HDFC freedom card, use 6 months, send income docs for upgrade with limit increase.

After that, apply slowly and gradually new cards as you want.

1-2 applications per month would be enough.

If you take Swiggy cc now, it will be Quite tough to get hdfc core cards like Millenia, regalia, diners black or infinia.

you don't even have a credit card yet. Get one first and think about upgrade later. There are always other banks that you can go to after you get your first card from HDFC

Nothing so.

In that case, you have to take any fd based card which will generate your credit score and later apply for higher variant cards.

Never take freedom card. Both Freedom and Moneyback+ are cursed cards. If your RM is not competent enough you will be stuck with it almost half of your life if not lifetime.

It's better to take SimplyClick or SimplySave from SBI than risking it with HDFC.

BTW, there's also Pixel card you can apply via Payzap.

are you salaried? is your salary account in HDFC? currently HDFC is giving Millennia as LTF, you may explore that as well

hi , i have salary account with SBI , they denied for simply save. I get 103000 INR in hand pm still they denied.

can anyone suggest anyother route?

i have not applied so far , they did couple of hard enquiry ( which is of no use ofc).

well then your best bet would be to get that pre approved hdfc card then (1) after 2-3 month be after the life of your BM until he convert it to Millennia (2) or use it extensively for 6 month and reach out to grievance team and ask for upgrade to millennia, though not guaranteed but worth trying
