HDFC Indian Oil card - Fuel points redemption

Hi guys,

Did you anyone successfully redeem the fuel points at IOCL petrol pump? If so, what's the exact process? What should i tell the petrol bunk POS card operator? Will they send any OTP for the mobile number?

Yes. I did this month.
Ask the Operator that you have to pay via Xtrarewards. You will receive 4 digit OTP and the transaction will be successful.

Assuming you have already redeemed Fuel Points as Xtrarewards from the portal.

500 minimum Fuel Points can be redeemed. No restrictions for redeeming Xtrarewards at pump

I believe 3 Xtrrewards = 1rs, so lets say if we have 2000 extrareward points which is like 666.67 rs, can we pay the remaining amount using our card?

I never tried with part redemption of iocl extra reward points.1rs of petrol=3.333333 Iocl reward points.
You can also book indane gas cylinder from IOCL ONE app using your reward points.

so, does the IOCL app shows how much fuel we can get it in terms of rs? And do you only go for that amount which is displayed there?

I currently have around 1500 Fuel points in HDFC app

Create iocl one account with same mobile no and email as of your credit card and redeem your card fuel points as iocl extra reward points.It will take 2-3 working days.Only after that I can calculate and tell you how much fuel you will get in a indian oil petrol pump.

Fuel points in hdfc have 2 years validity. Lets say i convert them to xtrareward points after an year. What's the validity for xtrareward points then?

call the indian oil customer care and ask.Should be atleast 2years.
