The USP of Infinia Bharat should be:

No merchants would ever refuse it on UPI. 🙂

My personal experience, most small vendors don't refuse. But some of the food chains/super market/F&B in some multiplexes refuse Credit card UPI.

Bank can't do anything.

Yes, even though they accept credit cards, paying through rupay upi isn't supported. I've seen this in bike garages, electrical appliances chains.Does receiving payments through rupay upi gets charged more than credit cards swiping? Don't think so.

thats bcoz mdr on cc is 1.8% n on rupay cc upi is 2.5% plus gst.

If they introduce a RuPay Infinia, I expect them to partner with Diners Club and not JCB. They are already selling DCB and other Diners cards, so the partnership will be natural, and they will also not need to send separate Priority Passes anymore for lounge access. This would be a killer combo as far as I’m concerned.

you are right in all probability. I am just hoping against hope, since JCB-Rupay is super useful for me in my visits to all of Japan, Kor, SE Asia. I have had not problems in acceptance France too.
And i hate the looks of the extra 3 logos in the card, diners,pulse and discover.Feels kind of cheap to me.

You can get a BOB Eterna (RuPay/JCB) for that.
