HDFC Infinia Renewal and change of network to Visa

TF Buzz
Hi I have been holding Infinia for 6 years now and Infinia metal for 3 years.
I am up for card renewal in next 120 days and was thinking to change from Mastercard to Visa as I don't have a visa credit card.

My Current Infinia Mastercard has a condition of spend criteria of 8lacs to get a waiver on renewal fees which technically never has been charged or added to my statement as I spend more than that.

However, if I change my network provider to Visa, I see some new conditions.

Can anybody help me understand what this means?
Will my spend criteria be revised to 10lacs p.a.?

I called helpline and they were not clear especially the 120 day criteria what that means.

Also is Infinia Visa anyways better than Infinia Mastercard.

I'm guessing you're having Infinia plastic variant and if you'll switch to Visa, they'll offer you Metal variant hence the higher fee waiver criteria and higher fees.
No I have been holding Metal for 3 years now. So it's metal to metal renewal.
I am just thinking to change to Visa since I don't have a visa card.

Better write a mail to priority redressal clearly stating that you want variant change to visa with same waiver condition. It works

Going by the screenshot I feel yours is LTF already as it says 2nd yr onwards fee =0.00. I’m not sure if I’m understanding it correctly.
Second, if your current card is a metal card and is a paid variant then its fee would be 12500 INR as it’s been the case for metal variants always to my knowledge. Also, your spend criteria will be revised to 10L if you move to Visa variant. Bank will treat this change of card platform as some sort of upgrade in their systems (while it’s not actually)

- so moving to Visa variant will revise your spend criteria
- revalidate the card pricing from customer care whether your current card is paid or LTF. If LTF, spend criteria isn’t applicable anyway.

Good observation. Using that screenshot, he can escalate to convert paid card into ltf card

Hi.. everybody’s preferences do differ from situation to situation, but I personally felt Mastercard is way better as a network compared to Diners, Amex and RuPay in terms of global acceptance. Visa also stands at par though. You may also talk to the customer care to convert your card back to plastic and make it LTF. They might consider it, some of my acquaintances did so.

Yes. It worked for me and converted paid regalia gold to LTF. Here in the screenshot, they mentioned few waiver off condition also.

By the way, where did you get the first pricing screenshot from?

Just call customer care and request for network change. The fee criteria will remain same and u will get new cards with new validity. That means ur card is renewed as per existing fee criteria.
Have done the same for 2 infinia
