HDFC Launched New Series of Platinum Debit Cards with BookMyShow and Swiggy Benefits

I have a PNB account that has had only ₹2,000 balance for the last year. I received a RuPay Select Debit Card, even though I haven’t maintained the required quarterly balance. I also applied for an add-on card.


My question is: Can I also apply for an Imperial Card, or do I first need to upgrade my account type? Is it mandatory to upgrade, or has anyone tried applying without upgrading? If I have to upgrade, then which account type should I choose? Also, will my existing RuPay Select Debit Card remain active, or will it be blocked?

Didn't realize that HDFC has acquired PNB, and are issuing PNB cards too now. 🙂

You can apply from any account but have to maintain 1 lakh at the time of applying
