HDFC Moneyback Credit Card disabled by them

For research purposes, could you tell us what's the defaulted amount by your father and since how long? Was it intentional or unintentionally missed? If you don't want to answer then you can ignore it.

This happened again, my previous card was closed as it was inactive for over a year. I applied for moneyback+, got approved and the card got delivered. Now, while trying to activate it same issue blocked by backend, shows available credit as 0. What can be done ? Will I never be able to hold any HDFC card now ? View attachment 24954

It was around 2 lakhs, it was missed because of bankruptcy, I started earning 2 years ago and paying it off since then of relatives and all. But I should be considered a standalone individual as I have never missed any payment and my credit score is also 780+ always, I have many cards with a 2.5 lakh limit. What can be done in this scenario? Can we complain to RBI or something

@im-raghav how did hdfc figure out who your dad is, i.e your dad's name can't be unique enough for them to identify right?

Hi All,
I applied for a credit card with HDFC from branch and they approved it with 75k limit but upon arrival I was unable to enable it or do any transaction, I visited branch they had also no ideas what's the issue. After I tweeted got a call back from them and they told since my father had defaulted on his credit card payments with them that's why their back end team disband my credit card after receiving? What can be done in this case, I have good cibil 780+ and never defaulted on any payment and no link to my father. How to get credit from HDFC now.
The card still shows in my account but shows available limit 0

same happened with my cousin... after his father death... he had default all payment showing death certificate... 10 years before... now hdfc not giving card to him and also asked until he clear his father due he wont get card... we all shock how did hdfc have fetch link between his father n him... but cousin also admitted he had defaulted payment of his father...
