For some reason HDFC issues DCs that say EasyShop Platinum even for such accounts, but they are not so in reality!

For my regular account also they issued one such spurious ESP DC (blue color) on renewal. By that time I had already upgraded my relationship to Imperia.

Since I knew that the real ESP DC comes free with accounts under Imperia, I thought the blue "ESP DC" should give me cashback. But HDFC customer service informed me that what I got was not a real ESP DC, and so, won't fetch me any cashback!

On query, they advised me to upgrade my spurious "ESP DC" online for free. So I did, and my new classy black Imperia ESP DC is fetching me cashback ever since!

So it is not because I am lucky. -- It's only in accordance with my entitlement.

And I was not asked to upgrade my regular account to Savings Max. In the statements it specifies the program to be Imperia, while the account remains a regular one.

Finally, the card section was automatically converted around 45 days later without doing anything from my end.

Does the loyalty program gold cards option mean I will start getting points as per platinum now? account variant is speciale platinum
