HDFC refused to enrol digisave account to classic banking

I opened a hdfc digisave account back in 2020. now i have over 1 lakh mab on the account. i went to the bank to upgrade it to hdfc classic they're telling me that i need to make a new hdfc account with the 25k mab one and they'll move it to classic and thay digisave account is only for students and cant be upgraded to classic. is this true? should i close this account and make a new account?

It's interesting bro keep us updated.. as u have a youth account I think u need to first make it regular savings account maybe .

I guess they are correct,
Firstly just convert you account into any normal varient and then apply for classic banking.
No need to close and make a new account 😉

Thats not true. Few years back as a student, i had the digisave account and changed it to the 25k MAB one in 2019/20 i think.
Its possible. They tell u to do this because they want a new account created with their name. Idk if they have targets for new accounts created or get some commission

It happens
I opened a digisave youth account with 5k MAB requirement.
I was initially offered an MB CC, After which I was upgraded to Prime banking and allotted an RM
They upgraded my card to millennia after some time.
Just a month ago, I was upgraded to classic banking...So yes it is possible

Did you get millennia upgrade as LTF or you have to fullfill LTF conditions once again ?

And did you get upgrade offer or applied for it manually?

Only offer has worked for me brother, I tried for an upgrade through forms and through my extremely useful "RM" which predictably did not work..
I did not check for the same as i am able to complete the waiver conditions on my usual routines

Brother One Suggestion For You...

1. Convert Your DigiSave Account To Specialè Gold (1L MAB)
2. Then Take The Classic Banking Form (1L MAB)

Then You'll Be Getting Most Benefits From HDFC

convert your digisave account to normal or 25k account and then enrol to classic banking program
