HDFC Regalia LTF to Regalia Gold LTF (Converted Paid Into LTF))

Mine was HDFC Regalia LTF and got offer to upgrade to HDFC Regalia Gold paid... Too many emails, msgs and WhatsApp msgs also... Just thought to check through HDFC MyCards and found HDFC Technical error and due to this, it was not showing LTF however renewal fee is 0 then immediately took the screenshot and started screen recording and applied for upgrade. Finally got the Regalia Gold paid card. I called customer care and asked abt this, they said paid card... Then reached grievance team asked to convert the card to LTF Card but they denied... After 2 more escalations, finally they converted as LTF Card...

I am getting the same upgrade year 1 free and then paid has anyone been able to get it to be made LTF or its just being done case to case

If you have other banking relationship with HDFC, try leveraging that. I converted my regalia gold to LTF citing FD'S, preferred account, bank locker, hdfc ergo etc. Depends on how you negotiate. My spends on RG is in excess of 8 lakhs despite of it being LTF coz I need infinia. So it depends what you need. Without spending it is highly unlikely HDFC will convert to LTF.

@hedgehog2122 I have spent 4.52 Lakhs in 1 month on the card & I also have Imperia banking with running salary account, still Grievance person did not convert. What to do next? Can you probably give me some lines that I can use in my mail response to them?

How long you have been using regalia gold, i would suggest at least use it for 6-8 months before requesting for LTF. Spending 4.52 lakhs in 1 month may seem unusual to HDFC since i am assuming you will not generally be doing such spends on a regular basis.

Yes you are correct.. I will not be spending on a regular basis & it's been 1.5 months that I have the RG card with me. What should be my next steps?

You may have to wait for 6 months for any modifications
