HDFC Swiggy & KIWI cc application rejected

TF Buzz
I have a healthy CIBIL score of 790+, experian 800+.
And already holding HDFC Regalia with a limit of 15L per month and no Yes bank active cards. However, I recently applied for HDFC Swiggy & KIWI cc and my application was rejected stating the reason as internal policy.
Are Banks liable to provide the exact reason for rejection or should i let it go?
Any guidance from TF community on this can be helpful. Thank you!

Well, RBI says "should". If only it said "must".
Banks should convey in writing the main reason/reasons which have led to the rejection of the credit card applications.

I would suggest to get the reason from them.
You could write to the credit card grievance redressal authority priorityredressal.creditcards@hdfcbank.com and ask them the exact reason for the rejection. If they don't provide any satisfactory response about the exact reason in 30 days even after follow ups, you could proceed to file a RBIO complaint to know the reason.

Thank you for your response. This is helpful. And what about KIWI?

Thanks for your response. I wrote to KIWI and they advised the same to take it up with YES Bank.
