HDFC Swiggy - Membership Fee charged despite LTF Offer

It feels like they are misleading customers with false LTF.

In Sep 2024, I visited home HDFC branch to apply for CC and at that time even Swiggy app was showing LTF offer for me.
The branch manager himself checked my eligibility and confirmed that the Swiggy card was LTF for me.
So I applied for it and got it, even today, the Swiggy app still shows the card as LTF when I check.

But in last months statement I got Rs.500 charged and when I mailed to revert the fees they are saying its not LTF for me. Its fees is Rs.500.

I again mailed them with proofs, screenshots, waited for 10 days and they are still saying the card is not LTF for me.
Its Rs.500 and waiver is 2L spend.

I have the card with 3.2 Limit.
What should I do ? Any Idea. They are not agreeing to it.

One screenshot is the old one I took of the app showing LTF offer and another is new one showing the card details in the app.

You should've confirmed with the customer care team..

That's why I get it in written from customer care for every LTF card via email confirmation..
 
You can escalate it to PNO and wait for response..

If not satisfied, you can file a complaint with RBI OMBUDSMAN after a month..
I wrote a mail to Grievance redressal cc of HDFC, they took another 10 days to reply that my card is not LTF and told they can't even make my card LTF.
As a gesture they are reversing my 500 Membership charges.

Like why ? The card is still showing LTF in the Swiggy app.
Now I think there is no other way I believe.
They are not accepting the screenshots.

I don't think the branch guy can also do anything now. That time he told its LTF and now all these issues.
 
Got the reply from PNO.
They are denying the fact that the card was pitched to me as LTF by the sales.
Now I don't have any audio proof of the branch people when they told me it is LTF and i applied.
They are not agreeing to the fact or the screenshots, video recordings I sent.

I don't think RBIO will be able to do any justice now.
Now for me the only option left is to continue using it with Rs.500 fees OR close this card.
 
any specific reason why you did not apply via the swiggy app?
Exactly, looks like OP did not apply through the app and take the offer provided on his number.....otherwise, the "Apply Now" button would have changed to something like "Manage card". The bank people wrongly sold the card to him, and applied directly (on hdfc portal/system) putting their codes.

Yes I didn't applied via the Swiggy app, I went to branch and applied but the app got changed to "manage card" from the next day and showing the card fees as LTF.

The screenshot with Apply Now is old one before I applied for the card.

Then toh you can escalate. Should support our case. Also, even though they dont convert cards to LTF easily these days, but it still easy for them to convert Swiggy card to LTF (than other cards)

I complained RBI OB and now I got a call from branch from the person who applied my card saying that he is also unable to figure out the issue. It should be LTF.
He told the only way is to close the card and reapply when there are LTF on this swiggy card. We can't do anything with this card for now.

Utterly disappointed with this kind of service from HDFC.
Already lied to me and applied for a paid card and now telling me to close it and reapply so that they can get commission again.

Tell him that resolution/idea proposed by him is illogical/stupid.
Ask him to get the charges reversed by getting whatsoever approvals required (BM can get it done)..... or else, tell him that if you have to ultimately close the card, then you'd better like to wait for RBIO decision.
 
Update:
Got reply from HDFC after RBI interference, they converted my card to LTF now.

They reviewed all my mails from past 2 months and got into this decision.

Finally after struggle of more than 2 months, justice is served.

Glad I went through a procedure, first CC, then Priority CC, then Grievance Redressal, then PNO and at last RBI OB.
You should seek compensation for all the hassle.

Minimum 10k vouchers or something.
