HDFC Swiggy & Tata Neu will be considered core cards from January 2025.

Saw this mail reply from HDFC that from January 2025 HDFC Swiggy & HDFC Tata Neu will be considered as core cards which means that during the sales customers will get the instant discounts on these cards as well. So good for those who have already got the Swiggy & Tata Neu cards in their armoury.

HDFC has changed their internal policies and they have come up with one card policy wrt core card and multiple co-branded cards.

Note: News is not 100% confirmed so verification regarding this is required if it is true or not.

I bought a Xiaomi and Samsung tab both which advertised instant discount offer. On both occasions, I got the instant discount when I used the Tata Neu Plus card. These purchases were (one in October, and one in December 2024) made much before this classification was made by HDFC Bank.

It's enough for you to get infinia, if you really want then you must try to get a core card, try paytm from there you can get moneyback or freedom, once got the core card then demand for infinia on the basis of spends done on tata neu infinity, if they still not consider that then you have to spend 8-10 lakhs through that core card then they will definitely give you infinia

I'm going through the NRV route , salary miss is ~3-4% for INFINIA. Spends would be around 4-5L max in last 6 months.

On the NRV itself RM took approvals and applied but cc department denied mentioning cobranded card. Esclated the issue to MD & Nodal. Let's see what happens.

I satisfy the DCB Metal new criteria on salary but i want INFINIA only.

Then in this case if they are getting agree to give you dcbm, just take it and after 6 months mention acceptability issues internationally and give them some proof of failure of payments of huge amounts, they will definitely consider and issue you infinia

Bro, be cool there are different people handling cases, some are good and understand English and will consider all things and issue cards while some are just graduate or maybe not graduate, that's why they just see some of the things and copy paste the general guidelines by seniors and they also play a big game there they forward there cases to such person that is also like them as we are in corporate and understand how people work you too can understand and this is the result that HNI customers are getting irritated.

This was my experience with grievance and priority redressal team, i was just writing the whole description and asking for proper and exact reason of not merging my limits, then for almost 2 months of hard-core interaction with both team, finally a guy resolved the issue in 1 day.

So, we can't expect when that good guy will come for your turn.

Some frustrated chadipasi support guy or an intern unknowingly might have sent this

Agree, 99% of the cc staff didn't care much. It's just part of there job to accept or deny requests on their will, mood and somewhat criteria.

They don't care if you choose to leave the bank or stay with the bank.

The problem is RM & BM misused there powers so much to meet sale targets that now they don't have any.

If i was a NTB customer, i would have gotten the card in a week.

Let's see where the MD desk esclation takes the turn. I don't care much now for the card.

My calculation shows i might be able to save additional 30k-40k at max in an year but, not worth the headache they have given.

It's an ego fight now that's it.
