Help in closing IndusInd Family Exclusive account

can anyone share your experience in closing IndusInd bank?

They only allow branch visit? I have no branch nearby as ours a remote town have to travel 2 hr is a hassle for my parents

If I escalate stating non availability of branch in my permanent address will they honour? Or even escalating to RBI ?

The exclusive account 2l amb balance (Family exclusive) is being wasted on this bullshit bank.

no need to withdraw funds . I am escalating to bank stating that my parents are senior citizen and no branch near by . So either assist in closing the account or I will see what RBI will do. No harm in trying . May be they will budge let’s see. Currently my RM is handling so now patiently waiting

They must have an option for customer to downgrade the account to zero balance. This is straight robbery since we never went to branch for open the account in first place

I got in touch with bank and got myself Pinnacle credit card so now I want to close my parents account alone. Now the bank guy promised me to close my parents account offline , u have courier physical signed form by my parents. He seems busy and delaying . But once in a while he is picking calls and said he will close it . Today got response that tmrw he will close it .

By the way, why did you open that account in that far-away branch ? That too, for Seniors ? Seems strange. ALWAYS OPT for a bank/ branch which is the closest to your house.

HSBC also insists that physical visit is a must for account closure.
