Help me build my credit card portfolio

TF Select
Hello

I am new to my credit card journey. I am looking to build my credit card portfolio. Some of my preferences at the moment are as follows:
1. Have atleast one core card of each bank.
2. As much as possible, keep only LTF cards. Unless the rewards really outshines the fees according to my usage.
3. Preferably cashback (statement credit) type cards as much as possible.

I am not much of a spender. So most often fee waiver milestones are not for me.

My details:
Net monthly salary : > 2L
CIBIL : 780

My current card portfolio:
1. ICICI Amazon Pay : 8.5L : Sep 22 : LTF
2. Axis ACE : 5L : Apr 23 : 499+GST
3. ICICI Coral : 12L : Mar 24 : LTF
4. AmEx Plat Travel : 8.93L : Mar 24 : FYF
5. Federal Celesta : ~7L : May 24 : LTF

I am looking for help regarding proper planning and strategy on how to build my portfolio.

Please do post any suggestions/feedback/tips if you have any for me.

Thanks

yeah ofc, try getting the premium cards only first, basic cards only as per your needs, airtel axis/neo/myzone comes into a basic category. There is a reason why some cards are labelled premium or super premium, those cards don't fail when the spends are high, infact opposite, gives higher returns on higher spends, while basic cards like neo, myzone, airtel etc will stop giving any returns when you maximise spends
Which ones premium can I get LTF as per my criteria?

I won’t personally recommend having one card from each bank. I was also having the same situation and same thinking but I realised keeping track of all cards is very difficult ( atleast for me as I don’t access mail everyday and not even CRED app everyday)
As of now my strategy is get a paid card which gives very good returns in form of points and other soft benefits such as BOGO on movie, spa benefits, golf benefits, lounges. Use your card to upgrade your lifestyle as I mentioned earlier. As of now I am holding Vistara infinite (10k yearly fees which we get back in form of domestic business class ticket ), Amex plat travel paid (for conversion of points to marriot), regalia ( bcoz that’s my oldest card). I have divided my expenses like expense up to 150 rs to be done on Amex as no other card starts giving points from 50 rs spend, 150-200 HDFC (very rare), 200 and above on Vistara infinite as milestone benefit would give me more business class tickets

Some cards I am considering next:
1. HDFC Regalia Gold or Millenia
2. SBI Cashback or SimplyClick
3. ICICI Sapphiro
4. IDFC Wealth
5. IndusInd Pinnacle or Legend
6. Axis MyZone or Neo (not sure which is higher, mainly to get core card of Axis)
7. Standard Chartered Ultimate or Smart
None of the cards mentioned above are good except Regalia gold and SC Ultimate.... (Cashback on Millenia is limited)
Sapphiro has literally no benefit except BOGO on movie tickets..
Go for SBI Cashback
Convert Amex Plat Travel to MRCC and get oe Gold card too...
Get Eazydiner LTF too

Some cards I am considering next:
1. HDFC Regalia Gold or Millenia
2. SBI Cashback or SimplyClick
3. ICICI Sapphiro
4. IDFC Wealth
5. IndusInd Pinnacle or Legend
6. Axis MyZone or Neo (not sure which is higher, mainly to get core card of Axis)
7. Standard Chartered Ultimate or Smart
1. Choose millenia
2. SBI cashback
3. Only if you get LTF
4. Why after devaluation? It's LTF so just for collection it's fine.
5. Very low rewards, you will have better cards
6. You have Ace and it's also a core card only. All offers apply on Ace. Even if you want LTF then tske Neo
7. Instead of this take hsbc cashback

I want to get sbi card
But they don't give LTF, so I have heard

I have good NRV~35L with SBI but still no use
Any trick to get SBI core card as LTF ?

Iam desperately trying to get one HDFC core card, but not getting LTF.
I am considering taking a secured FD based Millenia.
Any advice on this ?
upgrade your account to wealth account, get Rupay select
and get SBI elite cc FYF, use it (like spend approx 2-3L in year) later on end of first year, raise card closure request, retention team will ask and say make it LTF.

What is Rupay Select?
How to upgrade account?
Are the benefits and rewards rate good in SBI elite compare to my current portfolio?
Otherwise is it worth using this card just for spend milestone?

refer to this https://www.technofino.in/community...-account-upgrade-to-iit-iim-other-univ.27048/

however, process is same except you will apply under TRV setup instead Alumni. else everything is same.
with so much money invested in SBI, I should suggest to at least avail SBI wealth facility

sbi elie is 2nd highest premium card after SBI aurum, in wealth account, there will be no joining fee, and first year free. before completing one year, get it converted to LTF in 11-12th month and you got one SBI premium card as well in your portfolio
