Help Needed: UPI Payment Made via EbixCash Wallet Not Reflected — How to Escalate?

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with a UPI payment made through the EbixCash app and would really appreciate some guidance.

I recently made a payment via the EbixCash wallet (not linked bank account). The wallet acts like a semi-closed PPI (Prepaid Payment Instrument), where:
  • My mobile number serves as the account number
  • The IFSC code is PPIW0886136
The payment was processed successfully from the EbixCash app, but the merchant (Dell service center) claims they haven’t received the amount. It’s been over 20 days now, and the transaction still isn’t traceable on their end. I’ve already shared the UPI reference and RRN number with them.

I’ve just raised a dispute within the EbixCash app, but no meaningful response so far.

I was considering escalating this to NPCI/RBI, but here's the catch — EbixCash or its wallet isn’t listed as a bank on the NPCI portal. So now I’m stuck.

Has anyone faced a similar issue with EbixCash wallet or any other PPI wallet?
  • How can I raise a UPI dispute externally if the wallet provider isn’t listed on NPCI?
  • Is there a regulatory or ombudsman route for PPI wallets?
  • Would filing a complaint on RBI’s CMS portal help?

Apply for UPI chargeback from Ebixcash support, tell them the merchant (Dell service center) claims they haven’t received the amount.

Contact Ebixcash support via email.

If EbixCash doesn’t help, then file a complaint with the RBI.

Remember, after applying for EbixCash UPI chargeback, it can take 30 to 90 days. It depends on how much the merchant cooperates.

Have you already made a payment at the Dell service center using any other payment mode?

Many times, it happens that the payment gets credited to the merchant's account later. So, inform the merchant that you’ve done a UPI chargeback and ask them to refund it, if they get any enquiry — because you’ve already paid through another mode.
