I have 18 CCs with most of the banks. Faced this issue with HDFC and AU bank.... Found workaround for them and got the card.
Couldn't find one for Standard Chartered CC

What was the turnaround you used in procuring AU bank card? I too had the same problem and till date I am not able to get the SC card. According to their agent, there is no other solution other than changing the name. Shucks!! SC should up their game if they have to compete with the indian banks…That would create more problems than solutions. As i have single name on everything. It's not worth it ...for a credit card. I got a call from AU bank representative... They told me to send a msg... something like... "Name" and " Name surname" both are one and the same, kindly process my application. That did the trick and got the card. But no such luck in SC CC case.What was the turnaround you used in procuring AU bank card? They have a weird policy. What will the person with a single name do then.because of Bank policy.... standard Chartered specifically

In both these cases... I had to apply via offline mode ... Through the agent..Can please share workarounds for HDFC & Au bank?
Well that sucks...SCBFor au cc you need to visit branch
They will open a savings account on your name than they apply for card offline.
For SCB
They don't even open account for single name person as of now so no otherways unless you change your name in your docs
