HELP!!!! Single Name on Aadhar ISSUE... Standard Chartered CC Provisionally Aproved BUT Application Not Completed Due to Single Name on Aadhar.

DANGII

TF Buzz
Surname is there on the Pancard. Tried applying twice.... Provisionally accepted both times ... But application could not be completed because of single name on Aadhar card...Is there a workaround. Pls suggest.

Update the name on Aadhaar. That's the solution
That would create more problems than solutions. As i have single name on everything. It's not worth it ...for a credit card. And Name can only be changed twice on Aadhar.
I have 18 CCs with most of the banks. Faced this issue with HDFC and AU bank.... Found workaround for them and got the card.
Couldn't find one for Standard Chartered CC

You have single name on everything? Really? Then update the name in PAN. Just use same name as First Name & Last Name

That would not solve anything....Issue would still remain.... Single name.... Hence no CC
Many of my friends have single name in all of their documents. They never faced any issues with any credit cards. You are facing issue only because of KYC document mismatch.

You have different name on different documents. Fixing it now will be helpful for your future as well.

What was the turnaround you used in procuring AU bank card? I too had the same problem and till date I am not able to get the SC card. According to their agent, there is no other solution other than changing the name. Shucks!! SC should up their game if they have to compete with the indian banks…

I got a call from AU bank representative... They told me to send a msg... something like... "Name" and " Name surname" both are one and the same, kindly process my application. That did the trick and got the card. But no such luck in SC CC case.
Try AU cc via agent instead of online applying for yourself.

Its not a mismatch case ... I just told you i have 18 credit cards with most banks .
Its because of Bank policy.... standard Chartered specifically....Not processing single name application. As also mentioned by @rodeoSRP

Can please share workarounds for HDFC bank?
I have HDFC Swiggy card with single name but not able to get core cards without surname

Can please share workarounds for HDFC & Au bank?
In both these cases... I had to apply via offline mode ... Through the agent..
They supplied the solution...
In case of hdfc regalia gold... They attached my father's name as my surname in my application.
In AU CC case... They called me and asked me to send an email to the agent... Stating "x" and "x + surname" both are one and the same ( x is my name).
And i simply got the cards.
In these cases always apply via a well versed cc agent with experience.

For au cc you need to visit branch
They will open a savings account on your name than they apply for card offline.

For SCB
They don't even open account for single name person as of now so no otherways unless you change your name in your docs

Well that sucks...SCB

And as far as AU bank is concerned... Need not open account... I don't have one .. still got the cc with single name
