Help with planning a budget trip to Guwahati.

When I was there, there was no bus service. I was recommending shared taxis from airport. But if the bus is available, can use that too.

For 1st week of Feb, Tawang is absolutely not advisable. Heavy showfall, road gets closed any time.
Anyway, Bhalukpong-Bomdila-Dihang-Tawang requires a minimum of 5 days.

All major brands available, even though that are not available in many metro cities. For local product, Assam Silk is most famous. If you have time, you can visit Sualkuchi weavers village near IIT.

Sindoor from khamkya temple. I also once bought chilli pickle from some shop in Guwahati but forgot to tell mom that it is from a very spicy variety of chili. My chachi ended up feeling the burnt of it unfortunately.

Very safe but that's all you can say about it. Better to keep it as souvenir.

Yeah we usually went after mid sems so that would be March 1st week. Great at that time.

I was posted there for work purposes with my family staying at home. So my view/experience is naturally different from that of a student.
Mostly took a flight back home every Friday and returned to Guwahati every Monday. But still had covered almost entire NE during my stay there.
