Hi community
I am not used to make thread but trying to make one which i prime benefits of Indusind pinnacle card explained by the legend @TechnoFino
I am having Indusind account form 5 years at least paid it’s debit card fees for the 5 years even having LEGEND card. But you know sometime you do have super powers but you don’t know. By knowing that Pinnacle can get you top most retail account of Indusind bank I upgraded to pinnacle from LEGEND. VISIT branch seriously no one knows that it is possible. I mail top management that meet so and so person show him SOB of Exclusive and tell him to simply take the request for account upgrade rest will done here.
I did the same and within 5 days my regular indusind account converted to Exclusive account. Received welcome kit along with Exclusive Cheque book and exclusive (zero mark up) debit card. But what am I seeing my old platinum card is also active even after 30 days of my exclusive card usage to using both card to pay my credit card bill on cred receiving 0.93% value back every month. Within 2 days I received my exclusive visa debit card i tried to get Mc world dc as @bhavyegoel using both card on same account. I have talked with almost 10-12 executive all denied finally 4 days ago one of knowledgeable executive took requests and gave Mc world card. So technically i am using now 3 card free of cost for the same account I used to pay annual fees. Moral of the thread community is so bless full for me. I used to have 10-12 cards from 5 years but never optimized till the level I am using right now. Thanks to @TechnoFino @Subhankar @bhavyegoel @tejassir @milespointscard

I reached out to branch and they are not even aware. They keep on suggesting to open new account and fund with 50k and maintain it. And I was like what is the meaning of 0 balance account then 🤣
As you would have read from the post here and on other IndusInd threads, very few branch officials know about the Zero Balance concept.

As one of the users mentioned earlier the word you need to use is Surrogate account. Or as per my experience Addon account.

All the best chasing, following and getting Select account at Zero AMB.

Can anyone confirm if we open IndusInd exclusive account, we get pinnacle or indulge credit card as LTF?
Also which one is better pinnacle or indulge?
Also, If we get them as LTF, do we still get hotel vouchers?

Opening a Exclsuive account doesn’t give complementary Indulge / pinnacle credit card .
Savings account is a liability for bank , credit card is an asset so mostly it’s the other way round , you can take credit card and then your card can be used as an surrogate so that non maintainence charges gets waived off .

For your second question , pinnacle is a basic card like legend, where as a Indulge is a HNI card.

I applied for Legend CC today, and they have offered me a limit of 5 lakhs on the card. I have had no relationship with IndusInd till now, but I intend to get Pinnacle CC and an Exclusive a/c with 0 MAB in the near future and Pioneer CC and Pioneer a/c in the long-term.

After I receive my Legend CC, should I approach the branch and ask them to newly open a Select surrogate/add-on 0 MAB account for me? Or do I need to open a 0 balance account first (like IndusInd Delite Savings account, which is opened online with a nil balance) and then ask the branch to convert it to Select a/c?

To avoid any issues, it's recommended to open the account offline at your nearest branch. This way, if any problems arise, they will assist you and you can also build a relationship with them.

I sincerely hope the branch nearest to me would know about surrogate/add-on accounts. I went to an IndusInd branch near to me to enquire for salary a/c, and the lady over there was hell bent on enrolling me for Select a/c by doing an FD of 2 lakh/buy a health insurance with premium of 15k/take a gold loan/take a vehicle insurance. I was telling her time and again that I'm here only for salary a/c, but she was not budging 🙁

Went to HDFC yesterday to enquire about salary a/c but those folks are on such high horses they didn't even bother to circle back with me regarding which variant of salary a/c I would get along with CC.

When it comes to the Zero MAB Select account, it's best not to ask them anything since they are often either clueless or choose to pretend they know nothing about this offer, attempting to mislead you. Instead, open the account by initially funding it with an amount ranging from 50k to 1L, depending on your branch location. Then, link it with your credit card and withdraw your funds. Keeping it simple is the way to go. 😁

Anyway, the real battle begins after opening the account when you have to link both your CC and savings account under one ID. 😂 So, what you're currently experiencing is nothing compared to the challenges you will face ahead.
IndusInd is actually a very weird bank. Last year when I was asking for LE on my Platinum Aura CC (they had dropped my credit limit to a meagre 10k since I wasn't using my card for a while), they denied me. Now when I applied for Legend, I got a limit of 5 lakh. They could've offered me an upgrade or LE that time only.

Don't banks create a customer ID when they open a new credit card account like they do for regular bank accounts? If they do, it should be easy enough to use the same customer ID to open the savings account at a branch. Then it would be automatically linked to start with.

Yes, they do create separate IDs for credit card holders and savings account holders in the case of IndusInd Bank. The issue arises during the merging process. If you open the account first and get the card later, there are usually no problems with linking. However, if you receive the card first and the account later, various issues arise due to the merging of two IDs. I hope that clarifies it for you.

Thanks. I am still confused though. If a customer ID was already created for the CC, why that same ID can't be inserted in the appropriate field provided in the savings account opening form? The customer should in fact insist on it, if the bank staff is clueless.

I had a maxima account already. They obviously knew how to do it properly when they helped me apply for the Legend CC from the branch, so it was already linked with my account (and so, created no issue while upgrading to a Select account). What could be so different if it's done in the opposite order?

That's why I mentioned that if you receive your account first and then the credit card, the linking or merging of IDs tends to be much easier. However, when it's the opposite scenario, I'm not sure what happens. 🤣

In addition, I discovered another aspect related to how RMs handle new accounts. In my case, my RM managed it well and ensured that everything was consolidated under one CIF. However, in many cases on this forum, you will find instances where RMs create a separate ID for the new account. I believe this might be done to meet their targets. I may be mistaken, and it could also be a mistake, but some RMs intentionally create a new account that counts towards their target.

I recently opened an Exclusive account with them (I had a Legend card for almost 4 years). Now I see my account and credit card both in Indus Netbanking but in Mobile app I just see my credit card. I have already tried to link the account and it shows successfully linked. But still account doesn't show up in Mobile app. I am not sure what to do.

Legend is not eligible for Exclusive account surrogate it's Select account surrogate.

You have to wait for few days, it will eventually show up and by the way like Ashwink said it's Select account and not Exclusive account that is eligible for Zero MAB. For Exclusive account you need at least Pinnacle Card.

Edit: Apologies it was Ashwink who suggested not Vaibhav 🤣
