Hotel booking on smartbuy

I want to book a hotel for my friend and I found using my Infinia at smartbuy portal will be the most beneficial. My question is whether I can make a booking in his name or not as I will not be staying with them.

Generally all portals allow you to book for someone else (unless its award nights).
If the system lets you name the guest, it should be okay.
