How Are you Using BizBlack (Spends, Redemptions) ?

Spends:
I recently got BizBlack as a floater on my Infinia. Im maxing out my Bizblack "Key Spends" with paying taxes which get me 5x points with cap of 7500. now since i already have i do all smart buy spends on inifinia. which makes bizblack only useful for paying taxes unless im missing something. let me know if you have a strategy to do better with spends.

Redemption:
I cannot find a dedicated portal for bizblack where i can buy apple/tanishq products at 1:1 maybe thats not available. one might use the generic smartbuy to book hotels/flights. how/where are you redeeming the points ?

Yes, you will get 10x reward points on Hotel bookings made using Biz Black on HDFC Smartbuy (upto 10k points per calendar month).

Isn't the value same as infinia points? You can redeem these for flights as well.

No other better way. Redeem same way as Infinia.

Is there a way to combine both Infinia and Biz black reward points for a bigger purchase in a single transaction.

Also unable to find Tanishq vouchers on the portal. Are they not available.

For flights, at the page of voucher redemption, it does ask if you want to redeem points of another card. Not sure, but you can give it a try.

No. You have to choose one card to redeem. You can’t combine. If you are buying an airline ticket, you can do one way on each card or one ticket on one card. For a hotel, you can split the stay and do a few nights on each card.

I am a salaried person. Can I pay the tax using this card to complete the annual fee milestone and get the tax refund during ITR filing.

Please consider as example,

As a salaried person your taxation is already paid by the company.
so whatever you pay is extra in advance payment.
if you pay advance tax 56250 a month, you will receive 9300 app. a month 111600 per year.
in total you will pay 675000 to advance tax, lets assume government pays interest at 6% PA,
you will receive another around 20250 as interest

Totals spend 675000/-
you will receive 111600 points (9300*12)
interest @6% 20250/- (675000*3%)
Returns on investment 131850/- (20250+111600)
net returns 19.53%
Addition to that achieving 5Lacs milestone, you receive 5000 Taj voucher.
