How does C2C method actually work?

If we provide them Card statement & front card photo, do they contact the bank of which card is that? Like if I am applying idfc select card with icici coral with 400k limit, Will idfc contact icici for any details or just cibil inquiry?

My question is about from bank side how it processes? How does bank proceeds on C2C method?

So this might be the reason na why Hdfc is not updating credit limit, So that they would have more information about their customers?
