How does ICICI report multiple credit cards to CIBIL ?

I have multiple ICICI cards (Coral, Sapphiro, and Amazon Pay).

In CIBIL, two accounts are shown. I receive two statements - one combined statement for Coral and Sapphiro, and another separate statement for Amazon Pay.

Coral is my first credit card and it is paid, can I cancel it and keep only Sapphiro? Will there be no changes in CIBIL? I believe it will still continue to show two active accounts.

ICICI reports like below:
1) all gemstone cards in one single account.
Example: coral visa , mc, Amex ,Rupay sapphiro visa Rupay mc Amex, ruby visa mc Rupay Amex etc .. all in one account
2) emeralde cc one account
3) cobranded cards as a separate single accounts for each card like Apay, mmt etc

Thanks, so closing my 13 year old Coral should not impact CIBIL right ? Since sapphiro will still be active ?

Got it. I have 15 cards with average tenure of 3-4 years. I think the 2nd should be 10 year old.

But there should be no changes to ICICI reporting in CIBIL right as it is reported as a single account ? I am concerned that in case of any changes in reporting that it would impact CIBIL as it is oldest card.

If your 2nd oldest is 10 years then there won't be any significant impact to your cibil score..
Even though icici maintains the same two accounts, it may take the sapphiro opening date as the account opening date..this part o am not sure as i haven't personally experienced this scenario..
Assuming even if it does take sapphiro opening date for that account, as you have the 2nd oldest at 10 years age then the impact will be very very minimal if at all..

Another thing you can do is , run the simulation test at cibil website by choosing " close the oldest card " scenario . It will accurately predict your future score after closing your coral..

My view : you can safely close your coral...dont worry too much..

Thank you. Sure, will run simulator and then go for closure.

Will update once I find out more.

The best option is to check using NetBanking.
Cards showing in one group are reported as a single account. If you have two group, it means they have reported it as two accounts.
Sometimes icici mess up and even gemstones card reported as multiple accounts. Same happened with me.
