How Late payment in CIBIL can affect Credit Card approval

Credit Karma

TF Premier
I have a 1 day late payment on my credit report in Feb 2022. It was wrongly marked by PNB. I am trying to get it removed but it is not yet removed.
I have on-time payment ratio of 38/39 with 4.5+ years of credit history.

But I'm thinking that what happens if they don't remove it?
Will it affect my chances of getting approved for CC's?
Will I get pre-approved offers?
What impact will it have on future if it is not removed?

it would have gotten approved
Probably yes! That's what keeps me thinking all the time.

But given my unique situation with pre-approved offer, it feels like that I am much better off by not applying.

Had it been rejected, then I would have looked like a Dumbo knowing applying for a CC with a tanked credit score 😂

Facing a similar issue from SBI. Did you manage to get this corrected by PNB by any chance?

I don't know why people are missing the most important fact that any credit card company cannot mark any account past due or late till 3 days from Payment due date. Neither can they levy any penal charges.

If they have marked you late or levied charges. Mark an email to the principal Nodal officer and if they don't assist you. Take it to Rbi ombudsman. I have done that with SBI.
