Don't brag here.
If you can, hunt down your SBI case.

Hahahaha savage it hurts bhaii 🥹. How do I call them to threaten SBI for not doing a trivial thing. Finding @S S V is not so trivial 😂
But if something is done illegally against me on this land , I have full support of Australian consular service to protect my lawful rights !! 😉
For me to avail this, is just a phone call away to my Australian consulate Chennai !!

Yes . .
Australian passport holder living in India on OCI ( Overseas Citizen of India) which gives indefinite stay , work rights among others in India
This is even savage.

Atleast yours is a legal stay compared to doc 😷.

BTW can OCIs get regular bank accounts here? Not NRI accounts?

OCI s living in India for more than 180 days in a year is considered as an ordinary resident and is almost equivalent to a normal resident Indian and can do everything except
1) owning an agricultural land
2)holding a govt job
3) voting in India
4) standing for MLA , MP etc

Answer to your question.
an indian resident OCI can hold only normal regular sb account.. only foreign living oci can hold are accounts
..

@S S V - so you may go back to Australia after sometime ?
Not sure.. I had seen both the world's ( both positives and negatives) extensively, its very hard to choose.. hence can't predict..
I lived in some semi urban places in Australia so it's very nice there...I lived like a real Aussie unlike most of the diaspora..
