Yesterday I swiped my diners millenia in a restaurant and it showed "Remove Card" "Financial institution not found" error. Is it because of diners network not supporting or my card chip is damaged?

Converted for the the sake of having a diners. I use millennia only for Amazon gv. So personally for me acceptance not an issue.

What I noticed:
Mobikwik sometimes (I guess once a month) allows us to add upto ₹1000 to wallet without any convenience charges. Millenia CC gives 1% on wallet load. Usually convenience charge eats it, but for this ₹1000, when I try to entert diners card number (14 digit) it says card variant is nor supported/invalid card number. So, I find one drawback for me when I hold this diners variant.
