Today tried to take advantage of retention bonus by asking to close the card, to my surprise they are taking service request to close the card, not offering any retention bonus.
May be because of too many requests, they are not willing to offer any retention bonus now.

I got twice earlier. Once for Magnus and other for Privilege. But now scenario seems different. There was no negotiation stuff. Some tired woman picked up the call and was ready to close the card.

I feel Iucky as I waited too long after this thread but done just before say couple of days of this trick viral on twitter. For me too one tired lady picked a call and her child was crying and so much of noise. I cut the call after some other enquiry, called back and another lady picked, I said last time call kiya to executive was taking request for retention and call was disconnected, that lady tried to be unaware about retention but finally took request
and for my bros card - one guy picked - simply asked how to close card and he offered retention directly
