How to ensure rupay variant for Tata Neu Infinity

I wanted to know how to assure that Tata Neu card I apply will be Rupay variant and not Visa variant. Considering HDFC behaves like HDFC, then there are high chances of getting Visa variant. Just wanted to know the steps to mitigate. I already have a Regalia LTF with 3.5L limit. So it would be helpful if anyone can help here. I searched the forum but somehow couldn't find relevant information. Thanks in advance!

HDFC was pretty anal on changing my Regalia LTF to Rupay LTF. Grievance mail replied only FYF possible, when I threatened them of deactivation they were like ok please go ahead 😂😂

But considering this card is already advertised as a Rupay card it might be easy to convert and also make it LTF if not received via Neu app.

May be they are going easy for Tata Neu cards only for the network switch... For others HDFC being HDFC. i.e. either their way or Highway...

That is why I initially asked whether it can actaully be done...

Just reply back to the mail where they have mentioned the Reg Rupay FYF mentionting that your existing regalia is LTF then why i have been given FYF after franchise conversion...They will hopefully accept your request for Reg Rupay LTF.

May be they are going easy for Tata Neu cards only for the network switch... For others HDFC being HDFC. i.e. either their way or Highway...

That is why I initially asked whether it can actaully be done...

Ther is some other ways also called SKYWAY...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Did that and still they were like this is the best we can offer. Nothing much. But since I realised that Regalia Rupay is pretty much useless for small UPI transactions it's a battle not worth fighting for.

I also reached out to Phone banking support and after pinballing me for 15 days they were like please write a letter to Chennai office and it will be done but they were so unconvinced that I felt spending ₹50 for courier is also useless here and hence I thought of getting an additional Rupay card. Tata Neu seems the best of all when it comes to rewards and returns.

I feel banks will pushback on this and this is going to be delayed for a while. Considering it is a directive where banks have to respond by first week of August.

See if you have other rupay cards in your inventory then skip this..
Other option still there is to wait till october so the RBI circular will come into effect and then they might offer.

Unfortunately, I don't have one and I feel it's important to have at least one Rupay card in the collection. Are there any other cards that are better than this with Rupay?
