How to generate PIN for newly received HDFC credit card?
I see option saying "Instant PIN generation" in net banking but not sure if it is chargeable. Please advise. @ashwink @007 @hashiro7

i logged in on my app and there was an option of set pin under my listed credit card. didn't need to use the instant pin generation option. even i had avoided that in the past because of confusion around charges.
you can also try calling ivr.

nope. but it might also be because I have preferred tier.

instant pin generating, if i remember correctly, has a small note hidden somewhere at the bottom saying that it is chargeable. but the set pin option in mobile app did not have any such note. try doing it on mobile app.

also to add, the physical pins that hdfc sent me for the primary and addons, NEVER reached me and HDFC also doesnt care.

mostly mobile banking have option to generate instant PIN. you should explore the app..

Yeah I also didn't receive any physical PIN details. I have Classic account variant, will use the Set PIN option in mobile app. Thanks

I think that's for PIN Regeneration, not for 1st time setting your own PIN

Not sure about net-banking but I did it through the HDFC mobile app. Go to left hamburger menu > Pay > Cards > Select your credit card > Change pin. Wasn't charged anything!

Can confirm this is free I did the same and you have to authenticate via OTP so no need of IVR or anything else

usually billing date is 1 month from the date of activation of card.
officially it will be shown onlybafter 1st bill is generated.
