How to get an upgrade from HDFC Bank Freedom Credit Card to Millennia Credit Card as LTF?

Hi,

My mother holds HDFC Freedom Credit Card (attached is the image for reference below). It was given to her as LTF. Now, the card has a limit of ₹ 1.75L. I wanted to know can I get it upgraded as LTF to Millennia?

1.75L is a pretty high limit for Freedom.... You can login to NetBanking and check if there are any offers to upgrade your credit card

As of now Hdfc has an offer....if you spend 50k or get an add on card, your Millenia will be LTF >>https://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/pay/cards/credit-cards/credit-card-fee-waiver-condition

However, I do not know if it works for upgrade through NetBanking.....

yesterday, I spoke with CC regarding this. He said the offer is only for new customer not upgrade customers 🙁.

Spend based LTF is not available for upgraded cards. To make the upgraded card LTF, check with customer care for the various methods.

So why would someone upgrade who already has LTF CC do they provide LTF pre approved offer as well ?

Wow. I didn't know this. Everyone at HDFC kept saying these LTF offers are not available for upgrades. I remember reading somewhere that these LTF offers are applicable only if we apply online without taking help of anyone at HDFC. So, online upgrades are eligible for these LTF offers and offline upgrade by signing physical form is not eligible for these LTF offers ?

Wherever you apply no matter spend based LTF offer is applicable.

Spend required x amount within 90 days for particular card

I have 1.9L CL on Freedom CC.
Edit: Today got LE from 1.9L to 2.8L
