First, get it as a paid card. Use for 11 months (and spend a reasonable amount) and call customer care and request for card closure. By default, they will route your call to the retention team - who will change the card to LTF. Worked for me and many of my friends.
Have marked as a solution but then tf buzz asking too naive questions in the first place.. going forward i could change entire thread type if doesn't look like a question thread instead of a discussion though. just to prevent brownie point "Solution to already asked thread" only cause axis fk was already devalued by the time this question was asked so even with LTF this card doesn't hold much value if someone hold Premium card so would advice to close this useless cc rather than using. but then it all depends on the user cc portfolio though.

Same here. I spent 3.2 Lakh in last 1 year and my renewal is due next month. I have been using this card for last 3 years (might have done more than 10 lakhs of transaction) still they denied LTF last week.
So I applied for SBI cashback and got an approval and card is being dispatched. I'll have to live with lesser credit limit on SBI, and also will not get any benefit post 1 lakh of transaction every month due to cashback caping.

One thing, Flipkart sometimes makes mistakes (or does it intentionally, I don't know) in categorising transactions, reports wrong MCC to SBI card and for that you may not get cashback on Cashback SBI card AND YOU CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. I purchased a smartphone and Flipkart reported it to SBI card as a transaction in educational category and so, I did not get cashback. I emailed to SBI regarding this and they were kind enough to explain me that it was Flipkart who reported the MCC of educational transaction to SBI card and so I didn't get any cashback. And you can understand, cashback for a smartphone is a significant amount.
I currently hold Flipkart Axis CC along with 2 other credit cards of Axis Bank. I want to know if I opt for closure of my chargeable Flipkart credit card, will I be able to apply for the same card again if it comes under lifetime free offer in future?

I also hold chargeable SBI Cashback CC and LTF HDFC Swiggy CC, so that's why thinking of closing the chargeable Flipkart Axis CC. Will I suffer any loss in future, by closing it, any benefit which I am not aware of currently?

Ok, I will try to threaten them tomorrow 😂. I had already written a mail quoting a sentimental msg regarding my 4yr long association with the bank and a request to convert the card to LTF, but they are heartless it seems, they denied.🤣
