How to get taped currency notes exchanged in Delhi?

TF Buzz
Delhi has a very big problem of people not accepting taped currency notes at any place. The people almost treat the mutilated or taped notes as if they are illegal, while in fact it is their conduct of not accepting such notes which is illegal.

I have a few taped notes, mutilated or torn, of lower currency values / denominations, stuck with me. I want to get them exchanged. The local banks deny to exchange it, which is itself a violation of RBI mandated circular, nor they give proper guidance to get it exchanged by approaching appropriate authorities.

Is there a place which is willingly able to get the taped notes exchanged without much of a hassle?

Write to nearest branch BM about it (keep copy of your application). Let 30 days pass. After that complaint in RBI.

And done, you'll get resolution, also ask compensation

I exchange my torn , mutilated notes often in my nearest IDFC First Bank .
They dont say a word and exchange in a minute .
That's called Ethical Service .

Banks are obligated to accept and exchange mutilated notes under the RBI's (Reserve Bank of India) guidelines. Talk to your bank once again and request an exchange. They are legally bound to accept them as per RBI rules. If they refuse, remind them of the RBI's (Note Refund) Rules, 2009. If the bank still refuses, ask for a written explanation for their refusal. This can be helpful if you need to escalate the issue.
