Is there a way to tell the difference between Bharat QR and UPI QR like usually on petrol pump they have Bharat QR, I was able to use my sbi card app to pay using the phonepe QR available there.

All Bharat QR works with card
Yeah I have paid through my saved CCs/DCs using Gpay if it was a Bharat QR code.

You're right. Some CC allow payment through the banks app on all QR's....others don't.

No only bharat qr provided by bank will accept payment via card and upi merchant qr is not allowed to accept payment through cards.

yes thats correct. bharat pay is issued only for merchants where customer can pay through debit cards and credit cards. for credit cards they will charge MDR similar to POS machines. bhim upi can be used to pay only through linked bank account.
