How to share airport lounge access with a family member without accompanying them?

Sometimes it depends upon the person at the reception. While registering the card on Dreamfolks website, you can mention other Persons name and the same name appears after generating QR code. This way you could at least be sure even if they crosscheck the name with boarding pass.
need to validate this idea

This is best possible option i.e., generating QR code by visiting Dreamfolks website,
register, add the card details and purchase the QR. That's it.

No airport lounge staff can deny the entry then after.

Accessed airport lounges in May 2024 using the above process at Hyd and Delhi airports for my family member without any issues
Scan karne pe name show hota hain kya? Warna to name to QR image pe edit bhi kar sakte hain😄

No name will be displayed. Just a QR code along with OTP will get generated. Just need to show the QR for validation (no name will be displayed with the QR). Attaching sample Drreamfolks online lounge booking for domestic airport lounge access

Yes, BLR airport its allowed. I gave access to my friends twice using the QR.

  1. I have HSBC premier credit card(MasterCard world), has anyone here used it for lounge access at Bangalore airport? How about the add-on card? I have read in their TnC, and it says that the card has lounge access. But it doesn't seem to show supported on LoungeKey and Dreamfolks.
  2. If a family member is travelling, can QR code be shared to access the lounge? Are folks at BLR T2 too strict on this? (I can do this using my other cards which has lounge access). The only place, the name has to be put is while adding the card, I am thinking logically it has to be the card holder's name.

1. I have HSBC Premier credit card too and I was able to register in the addon card in the LoungeKey website. For lounges in India LoungeKey is not required. These 2 lounges in BLR T1 are provided under MasterCard lounge access programme.
2. Not sure if they are strict on checking the name. But if you want, you can add the card to dreamfolks with your family member names, that will work but it will be always on their name.

I am visiting on 30th Sept T2 080 Lounge.
How about the add-on card?
Yes, Primary and Add-on share the same features.
I have read in their TnC, and it says that the card has lounge access. But it doesn't seem to show supported on LoungeKey and Dreamfolks.
No issues try swiping the card directly.

Thanks. My travel date is 25th 😀
Will keep the QR code and HSBC Premier add-on. let's see (keeping fingers crossed).
A few of my friends could not use my QR for Lounge Entry as they checked the QR name and boarding pass. Also, the lounge agent mentioned that if you use someone else's card/access he/she must me present with you.

Just last week I saw someone with QR code getting denied at Adani domestic lounge at Mumbai T2 ... He was ahead of me in the queue.

I Am relying on "sign up on Dreamfolks and login by family member's phone number and name. Add my card details, but their name and once the card is added then generate QR".

I am hoping this will generate the QR on family member's name. No?

Are you traveling with your Family member?

Above the DF QR, it shows the cardholder's name I guess. DF account name doesn't matter.

Family members alone, without me. So it worked, the QR code was generated (I added card in their account with my name) and another was an add on card on their name. Thanks for your help.
However, at the lounge, they are only allowing strictly 3 hours before the flight departure. What nonsense is that?

In domestic lounges, they don’t bother.I personally generated QR code and gave to my friends and family .It always worked.
They cross check boarding pass any mismatch in name won't allow else u have to be present there and can swipe it again for others.
Had a scenario in 080 one of the person gave his hdfc times world card it was declined stating no lounge access and he tried with other debit and credit nothing worked they asked him to pay else can return. He started looking at me then I asked him was he desperate to get in asked him to check with his bank if the card really offers lounge access. I took pity and said ok will swipe for you and I gave two cards one for me and another for that person. He was elated after some time he came and thanked me and took selfie although I declined wished him well to enjoy and make a video of his experience. He insisted and gave in he took pic of me for thanks.
