How to upgrade HDFC easyshop Debit card to platinum?

Do you meet the eligibility requirements for Classic Banking
If yes, you will get the Platinum card on an LTF basis

An alternate way to get it as LTF is to open a Savings Max account
I have had Classic Banking since a few years now and based on the link, I certainly meet the requirements for Classic Banking.
I do have a black coloured easyshop debit card. Will this also fetch me 1% CB on credit card bill payments? This does not have the word Platinum on the card as seen in the card in the link I shared above.

If that is the case, it looks like I have unnecessarily committed to Preferred Banking and locked up 2L.

If would say the easiest way would be to check it out yourself. Simply pay Rs 100 or 200 of your credit card bill using the card as explained here: https://www.technofino.in/community...c-bill-payment-portal-and-get-1-cashback.879/ and wait for the points. If the card is the Platinum EasyShop you will get the 1% cashback points within 1 to 6 working days

Where this mentioned that this is platinum card? If it is platinum, I don't think this card will give 750 cashback for bill payment. HDFC did not mention anywhere, this is normal debit card like smart shopper ICICI debit card. This card was issued as default card
That version is now having bin 4160
Let op confirm

If you already have Classic, why would you want to upgrade to Preferred?? Also, Classic Banking gets you free Easyshop Platinum DC, so you can order again from Netbanking if you want

Even a 1Re or 10 Rs. payment is enough to check, the CB is credited in paise also 😆

In my account the Platinum DC was showing up as 750 (chargeable).
The RM told me that the Platinum DC is free for Preferred Banking customers.
Should I ask for a downgrade?

I made a payment of 500 towards my Axis Ace credit card twice, but the payment failed both times. I got an SMS both times saying AutoPay failed towards the card etc and I should try paying via netbanking.

Any advice on this?

1) Remove the checkmark for AutoPay/SmartPay
2) Make sure that your card limits are set appropriately. You need to set both the 2nd & 3rd (POS/Merchant and Online)
3) If you just added the biller (CC) then you need to wait for some time. Try after 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day. After 1 day it is guaranteed to work but sometimes it does after just 2 hours (Here's a note about the limit: https://www.technofino.in/community/threads/regarding-hdfc-bill-pay.3430/post-58820)

I don't see the options / settings you mentioned in points 1 & 2. I only get the following options:

After entering the payment amount and selecting the DC as the payment method, the transaction fails immediately.

I will wait a few hours and retry.

1) SmartPay status is off, so not an issue
2) In NetBanking the options are under Cards/Debit Cards/Request/Set Card Controls Usage Limits
