How will Amex users deal with RBI action on paytm

I used to complete MRCC 20k, smartearn 2.5k with paytm wallet.

Now there's no option left, how will amex users deal with it?

If the ban is not lifted, and forces to pay fee, I will close these cards.

Can’t help with the rotation part however for potential areas where spends can be made and acceptance is there have posted here

Not rotation, but it's been a great option for Street-Level retail spends.
Paytm wallet is accepted everywhere in Delhi and overall RP-value beats any other option for a layman.

Well, I feel sad for you and for Paytm as it's closing down.

But I don't think Amex really cares much about this as the users considered as big spenders weren't adding any money to Paytm.
And the users just passing the milestone using the Paytm wallet trick, Amex wouldn't care about those since they add more costs and very minimum MDR.

At our scale, it does sound scary but if you think globally from their perspective, you will feel the difference.

Buy amazon GV then use Amazon pay balance to pay utilities, insurance, other shopping gift cards, etc.

How were you doing that milestone with paytm?

Paytm charges around 3.35% for Amex for add money right?

Paytm charged me 2.65%.
I used to load 14k to paytm. Thats my best option for offline use.

MobiKwik charges 2.5%+18% gst approx 3 % and gives 1% instant cashback on loading via credit card so effectively I get 2% loading charges and I put that amount in MobiKwik Xtra which gives 1% back and pay via hdfc platinum debit card which again gives 1% back so effective cost is zero and reward points and milestone are a bonus 👍

Amazon too developed similar infrastructure to paytm.

The customers can pay via Amazon wallet to vendors by adding money from cards.
-- Amazon not promoting this like paytm did....
-- Due to misuse of add money from cards to bank ..... might you can't load from card* heavily.
