I want to open a HSBC Bank Basic Savings Account.Can anyone tell me the disadvantages of HSBC Bank savings account if they are a HSBC Bank customer? I mean the things I should know before opening the account. Moreover I will open that account from Chennai and I don't live in Chennai so would I face any difficulty while opening the account?

So you open premier without 40L TRV and currently its zero balance but you planning to keep TRV of 40L in fururw or via 3L salary credit? Which route you took it was not clear hence asking to my knowledge one need to meet the eligibility then they upgrade the account to Premier. Please clarify. Thanks

btw if you lose premier status you will be charged 20k annual fees. Which will make the card not worth it at all.

Yes I know this about the annual fees, only not clear is joining fees, some people reported as free but my RM is offering as free joining fees.
