HSBC RuPay Cashback Credit Card – My Experience & Cashback Review

I recently got my HSBC RuPay Cashback Credit Card, and here’s my first-hand review covering the application process, benefits, and cashback experience.

Application Process 📝

• Applied on 24th July 2025 via a bank agent
• Already had another HSBC card → only salary slip + Aadhaar was required
• Super smooth approval, done without video KYC

Card Delivery & First Statement 📬

• Card delivered on 4th August 2025
• First statement generated on 22nd August 2025
• On 25th August 2025, I received ₹246 cashback credited to my account
• Cashback was credited within the same billing cycle (impressive speed!)
• But: No transaction-level breakup shown in the statement

Key Benefits 🌟

• 10% Cashback on:
  • Food deliveries 🍕
  • Dining 🍽️
  • Groceries 🛒
• 1% Cashback on UPI spends (using RuPay + mobile UPI apps 📲)
• Lounge Access at select domestic airports ✈️
• 0 forex markup till 31st December 2025

If HSBC improves cashback transparency by providing category-wise breakdowns, this could easily rank as one of the best cashback + UPI credit cards in India, 2025.

If you are making on UPI spends like local merchants like Kirana general store which are mostly grocery store mcc code on that are you able to get the 10% or 1%.. Or we need to use the card like swipe or tap and Pay or giving the card details in swiggy Instamart or amazon fresh.. Hope you understand the issue and respond in detail.

As per my usage my cashback should have been more considering consideration UPI payment for food and dining, I think for UPI its 1% and we have to swipe or enter card details to get 10%, sadly no bifurcation is given for cashbacks..

yes . got my first statement on 22nd and cashback was credited on 25th. I used it only for upi trxns for food / grocery related. got 10% cashback .

Linked my HSBC Cashback rupay only in PayTM and once paid it shows category for the txn like Food, Grocery. I also checked with HSBC customer care for MCC of my upi txns and got confirmation on 10% cashback for my upi txns.

Is there any minimum transaction amount to get 1% cash back on UPI?

Or 1% is credited on the total eligible amount on the statement date?

₹1000 is capping for both primary and add on. As per cc, annual fees waiver is combined primary and add on too
