I am getting an ICICI Emerald CC upgrade, should I consider it ?

No way they will give LTF Emeralde . I have tried escalating to highest levels using Twitter and all , finally they send me a mail that Emeralde card can be given LTF only if existing credit limit on card is more than 2 cr , which I think is simply outrageous . I have seen some big shots have credit limit till 60 to 70 lakhs or so but never heard of anyone having limit of 2 cr . I even asked yhem
To confirm whether it’s 2 cr NRV or they actually mean 2 cr credit limit

Well if someone is having 2cr+ credit limit they will not be asking for LTF Emeralde lol
these icici guys are on another level 😵

Customer care said for for LTF Emerald, the overall relationship value should be more than 2 CR. For first year free, NRV > 1 CR.
My suggestion is to stay away from Emerald. Many informed members of this community also hold this opinion.

The have denied my request stating that previous year spend was not much . I went to bank today for closing my salary account and other accounts with ICICI stating the reason that I am getting better offers like burgundy salary account with Axis based on my current salary , BM told me to wait for few days he will try to help me in getting upgraded on LTF
