I got Scammed by DBS Bank (highly likely)

I applied for a DBS Credit card, which was pre-approved for me by Bajaj Finserv. The limit they said I would get was 79,000.

The dude came for fingerprint based Aadhaar KYC, which was done.

I waited 7 days. no update from the bank. Sent them an email and I got to know they do not see any application from my phone or email.

Plus there are 2 hard enquiries on my CIBIL Report. Despite me applying for 1 card. And I never got the card, nor got any info if it was approved or not.

So here am I, with 2 hard enquiry and no update on my application.

What should I do now? Suggestions will be appreciated.
 
Sounds more like a Bajaj problem. Have you tried connecting with them?

If that does not work out, maybe you could file a complaint with whoever it shows has hot your cibil and get it removed

Yea tried contacting both. Bajaj blames DBS, DBS blames Bajaj on the email. The cibil enquiry shows DBS.

Bro I ll help u in this, first when ever a man comes for finger print (this is fr al my fnds) take a pic of his id, 2nd ask him tht his company has been assigned frm bajaj Or DBs
Now wat I feel is bajaj as qualified u but DBs hasnt (bajaj application no is different frn DBS application no)
There fore u hv to wait fr sme time, it goes upto 30 to 40 days
Then u have to msg bajaj, n cc to DBS both same email
Saying tht I want an ans to my application or I ll have to msg ;-RBI Ombudsman, to interfere in this matter, 2nd option remove my enquiry fr cibil, (u hv to tel them both the options)

Lastly remember I m helping u presuming tht yr cibil is above 755 minimum.
If low bahi ur wasting yr time
Jst wanna saw ur more worthy of Rs 79000,i helped u,
U help sme1 else who needs yr advice..

Something similar happened to me and need some suggestions:

I applied for the Bajaj DBS card on 30th October, immediately got the message of approval subject to KYC

1 Week passes by and I open a ticket with them to send someone for KYC. At this point i thought maybe due to Diwali they were still in holiday mood. I get the message next day that someone will come soon and to please give 3-4 business days.

Another week goes by and I send another ticket. I get a call next day and same reply. “Please wait someone will come soon and to give 3-4 days”.

At this point, it’s been 20 days and no sign of communication from them regarding KYC. I again write a ticket to them. Next day the support team calls me and says: “You cannot get this card as the Bajaj DBS partnership has ended”.

Slightly unprofessional as they shouldn’t have the application process on their website if they knew this was about to happen. It’s not like they decided this overnight to end the partnership.

So now I’m stuck with this unnecessary CIBIL hit and lost 6 points for no reason.

I been back and forth with them since a month and no resolution. Bajaj asks to call DBS, meanwhile DBS has no clue about my application since they cannot find it with my registered number. Probably due to the KYC being incomplete.

Not sure how to go about this. Would love some suggestions to get rid of that CIBIL hit.

Bajaj DBS partnership ending should have nothing to do with you. They should not have accepted your application in the first place. Now that they did along with a Cibil hit is their fault. They should remove the unnecessary Cibil hit as soon as possible.

Here are some Senior Mgmt id's as well - ceodbsindia@dbs.com || cbgheaddbsindia@dbs.com || kapilmathur@dbs.com (SVP)

Also, once you tell the Bank to remove a Cibil hit ( considering the case is legitimate ); and the Bank fails to do so within a period of 30 days, the Bank is supposed to pay you a penalty fee of ₹100 for every day after the 30 day period has ended until the Cibil enquiry is removed. You can check the details here >> https://www.cibil.com/framework-for-compensation

So, consider all this and ask for a reasonable compensation in the same email; if they don't give, you can escalate to RBI.

Exactly! Why even accept applications if you knew the partnership was ending. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll go ahead and drop a mail to them. Lets see
