Icici amazon card fuel transaction.

Hello everyone,
I made a fuel transaction of Rs50/-on 22-3-25 using icici amazon pay card but when i see my statement today it is showing Rs61.80/- debit.
Is fuel payment using credit card attract this much extra charges

This would be 1% surcharge (min Rs 10) plus 18% gst.

So by this i shouldn't be charged.

Most credit cards have a minimum transaction requirement of 400 for sur charge waiver. So next time fill up for minimum 400

I never used this card for fuel so is not sure. You may get the reversal in few days or there could be minimum spend as well for reversal like in some other cards od 500 rupees.
Best night be to call customer care and ask why it is charged when it should not.

Surcharge reversal in eligible cases is only 1%. Sometimes surcharge is 1% , sometimes it minimum ₹10.

That's not how it works in general. Currently, I use OneCard for fuel. The charges are included in the transaction/s. However, the surcharge is waived off after a couple of days of settlement of transaction. Almost instantaneous. I don't have to wait until bill generation.

ICICI may have different terms for fuel waiver. You may send an email to help.amazonpaycc@icicibank.com or call 1800 102 0123 to get clarified about the actual waiver criteria.

2. When you purchase fuel in an amount less than Rs. 400 or more than Rs. 4,000.00 per transaction, with no waiver on the excess amount over Rs. 4,000.00 or below Rs. 400, even at HPCL outlets.

3. When the card is swiped on a non-ICICI Bank EDC machine, even at HPCL outlets.

A complete waiver of 1% on fuel surcharge every time you re-fuel.



Only Onus transactions are eligible for surcharge waiver along with GST 18%.

In addition to the fuel surcharge, an 18.00% Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be applicable on the surcharge, effective from July 01, 2017.

I have gone through the welcome kit of Icici Amazon pay credit card. There is no mention of minimum fuel spends. It says complete waiver.

No option but to wait for few days or till bill generation. If it's still not reversed then you can fight for reversal basis the welcome kit terms and conditions.
