ICICI Amazon Pay Credit Card Application Declined Twice despite having a Savings Account and a Secured Credit Card

Hello everyone,

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the recent decision of ICICI Bank to decline my Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card application despite having a savings account and a secured credit card against FD with them. When applying for the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card, I was shown the option of a "document-less application" and there was no option to upload any type of document. I was only asked to send an e-mail from my work e-mail ID confirming that I was requesting to apply for the Credit Card, which I did within one hour of applying for the credit card. There was no option for vKYC or other procedures.

I have sent them an email for reconsideration as well. Here's what I have wrote :



Let's hope for the best. Also, please comment down below if you have any methods of applying for an unsecured credit card at ICICI Bank. I am considering to block my secured credit card soon. I just need an unsecured credit card from ICICI Bank if they don't approve the amazon pay card. Sooner or later, they will approve if I have an unsecured card.

Dont know how it works. I had also applied for Apay cc in 2020. It got rejected even though i had an unsecured CC from Bank of India for 1L limit.
The rejection felt so bad that i didnt apply for any CC till 2022 Dec. No default in CC payments of BoI since it was on autodebit.
It was weird as to why the card was rejected as cibil was more than 750, had a unsecured cc with 1L limit but still rejected. Now when i tried IDFC i got select variant and also Axis My Zone.
I am still confused when should i apply for APay CC or should i go for Platinum card first and wait for Apay application later.

Apply for platinum if u have itr or salary slip... U will get apay like a gift

Taking apay card in icici as ur 1st card us not recommended as u wont get any upgrade or another card that easily

My first bill of coral is paid and i am getting get card in 30minutes option in amazon without vkyc or income proof. Should i try or wait.

Anyday with icici fd one can get secured cc within a minute

Apply for platinum if u have itr or salary slip... U will get apay like a gift

Taking apay card in icici as ur 1st card us not recommended as u wont get any upgrade or another card that easily

Yea that's the plan. But after 3 months. Just got axis myzone now

With icici if u maintain just a normal savings account with just above 10k balance and good transactions in account u will get ltf card in 3 months
Close ur fd card

closed my FD Card recently, had applied C4C in branch with 151000 limit Card, still rejected. Will apply around festive season now, if this time they don't approve, I'm never gonna apply ICICI LOL, SBI Approved Cashback Card with 111000 limit after applying for ICICI AmazonPay though, now amazonpay feels useless.

Apply for amazon icici through the amazon portal after 6 months. 6 months is the colling period for icici card

With secured card its a hit and a miss... I too was rejected two times for apay despite having salary account with them.... In dec 2022 took ltf platinum card... In march 2023....offer came in amazon of no income docs required vkyc available... Apay card was generated in 30 seconds... Just entered platinum card 16 digits, confirmed delivery address... Card was approved instantly

So close the secured card... Wait for 6 months... Get a normal unsecured card then try... If u get apay card first... It will be hard to get any other card....

If u have a salary slip or itr... U can easily get platinum ltf card....

Yes... For loan... But I got it removed....for rejected application and . Even for my successful apay application...as it was approved in 3rd attempt
