ICICI Bank Charges fee for LTF Sapphiro [Alumni Offer]

I was planning to apply for ICICI Sapphiro LTF using alumni offer.

But, I can see that many people are being wrongly charged even after everywhere it is written Nil charges.

If you are facing such issues, please share your experience here (whether you were charged or not / how did you get the charges reversed).

It would be helpful for others thinking to apply for the same or trying reverse the charges.

Heard from him that ICICI is stopping Alumni offer by this June end.

That agent only told me its stopping in June. I cant verify this claim. You can check with him.

I applied for LTF, but they sent me joining fees and annual fee details when I got the confirmation email after verification. I replied back asking for a clarification, and they confirmed it's free and asked me to ignore the charges.View attachment 36386

Recently I also got LTF offer in app for upgrade and I did but I got the confirmation email in that it was mentioned about fees. But I haven't been charged yet can you tell when do they charge joining fee so I can be aware if they charge after how many days

according to my knowledge, sapphiro credit card with the AMEX variant is NOT life time free. joining fee is generally charged in the 1st or atmost in the 2nd billing cycle of any credit card and you have to pay the outstanding with the joining fees before the due date. the screenshot you shared does mention about the dual cards, Sapphiro cards in the Mastercard and AMEX variant.

I don't think what you said makes sense, if they are offering dual variant LTF why would they charge Amex and not show in the offer

get it verified from the official ICICI credit cards department by mailing/calling them and report here what they officially say

oo ok. i actually found a thread and a video some months ago where the cardholder got charged the annual fees. they had the amex variant of the ltf sapphiro. that's why said bro.

icici is simply confusing 🙂 today i got a call from a bank official and i was informed that applicants must submit their salary slip/itr/cc/3 months bank statement for availing under the alumni offer to get the ltf sapphiro/rubyx credit card. previously i was informed that only college degree certificate is enough and no income documents are required 🙂

i applied 3 months back and a friend of mine applied 2 weeks back .. we were asked to upload degree only nothing else..
while Appling did u upload degree or not?

in my area ICICI credit card services are unavailable, so i have been advised to apply through bank branch, which i am going to do next week. i was also told that i Must submit my income documents and degree certificate both in order to get the card approved.

I was not asked for anything other than degree certificate while applying online. It is silly to have two separate criteria for the same card

Once you get the card, get it in writing that it is LTF. And later if yiu are charged, use that mail to reverse charges,

Also for ICICI credit card, upon applying and submitting the details a pdf with application number will be generated and joining and annual fee will be mentioned in it. We also can escalate showing that as a proof if you have that with you
