ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards
Net Banking Customers:
  • 3% iCash on Flight Bookings
  • 6% iCash on Hotels
  • NA% iCash on Shopping Vouchers

Redemption on iShop Portal

You can redeem your credit card reward points on the iShop portal.

The value of credit and debit card reward points depends on the card you hold. For example, with the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card, 1 reward point = ₹1.

Redemption Options:

  • Flight Booking: You can pay 100% of the order value using reward points.
  • Hotel Booking: You can pay 90% of the order value using reward points, and the remaining 10% must be paid using the same credit card.
  • Shopping Vouchers: You can pay 50% of the order value using reward points, with the rest paid via card.

For Net Banking Customers:

  • Instead of reward points, Net Banking Customers receive iCash from iShop (1 iCash = ₹1).
  • For flights, hotels, and gift vouchers, you can use a maximum of 80% iCash, and the remaining 20% must be paid via net banking.

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

Yes. You are thinking right.

First of all do you have other relationship or salary being credited.

If your usage is high on emeralde card and salary credited is above 3 lacs, then there are chances of upgrade to EPM. But why would you spend a lot on emeralde card, that you need to think.
Because I have reached the milestones in the other cards that I have, and still have some significant amount of spends, because of renovation of my house, so I thought I might as well spend on Emeralde Credit card and try for upgrade to Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card.

As soon as I took the Emeralde Credit Card (upgrade from Sapphiro credit card) in November 2024, my ICICI internet banking background screen/interface turrned black-metallic in colour and the logo of ICICI bank in the top left began showing "wealth management". Does this mean that they have upgraded me to a wealth management account? If so, if I continue using the Emeralde credit card, can I expect a pre-approved offer for the Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card in a few months if I reach the annual fee waiver limit in my present Emeralde Credit Card?
Yes, your account has been upgraded to Wealth Management. However, getting the ICICI Emeralde Metal Edition Card is not guaranteed. You may have to wait for 2-3 years before becoming eligible for it.

The choice is yours whether to wait or explore other options.

If upgrading to the ICICI Emeralde card upgrades your account to Wealth Management, does holding the Times Black card mean your account should also be upgraded to Wealth Management? Because my account is still Privilege account and it’s been almost 3 weeks since I got the card. Should I contact branch?

Yes. Find out and tell us what they told you.

My EPM's first statement has been generated and I don't see any points (base + accelerated). Is it usual to not see any points for the first few days post the statement generation specially in case of new cards & first statement? Not sure if this has been discussed earlier.

1. How many days does it take usually for the base points to be visible in the account post the statement?
2. Some people have received iShop accelerated points post the statement generation but most haven't is what I know. Anything latest on the same from folks who have received accelerated point will help.

Welcome to the club of " we don't get any points , none for you , none for me. " I hope your stay is pleasantly pissing off and anxiously waiting.

We have a chef special of " none ya business for when you get base points but you are free to contact customer care to talk to the dumbest morons alive on planet earth ".

If you have a special "wealth or private banking account " , you can call them up and your points will be magically credited in a week's time.

If you want to get a peace of mind before all this, I kindly request you to wait 5 business days from statement generation post which you think you will get the points ( but only we know you can NOT get the promised points unless you jump through hoops ) and instead have to call us up and waste your time , why ? Cause we are ICI don't C I bank .

Kindly rate us between 1 to 5 where 1 is for nunya business and 5 being awesome, I don't need to bang my head against the wall explaining the same thing to cc guy again , My points are here !! .

Have a great stay.

P.s just for fun. Wait for 5 business days from statement generation. If not credited, call up WM cc or PB cc and tell them you haven't recieved the RP in your statement.

I hope they do it on autopilot. Last thing anyone wants to do is track these points.

I got my first TIMES BLACK statement today. I can see the reward points in the statement (left side, reward summary tab), but not in the ICICI INTERNET banking section nor in the iShop portal. Join me too in your guys’ waiting list.

for times black card, the accelerated points will be in card itself.

Except 2% of the members no-one received.

have you noticed if transactions beyond 50K is getting the right bonus points?
As far as I observe, the points are crediting fine (above 50K too). For instance, today I had done the transaction of 1L, and 10K points are credited, which is right, I guess, since I already crossed the 50K barrier. Tell me if I am wrong.

Ideally you should have got 6333.33 points if you had wealth card and if you hadn’t consumed 50k threshold already before making 1L Rs transaction.

If this 1L is over and above 50k, then the calc (10k points) is fine else you got 3777 additional points 😀
