ICICI credit card application status unknown

My wife had applied for an ICICI platinum credit card couple of days back. Application number is generated and vkyc is completed. After completion of vkyc, she got a call from icici and they have told the card is approved and will be reaching within 7 days.

However when I check the status in the icici website with application number, it shows data invalid.

Called customer care, CC also gives automatic reply that no data with them and will call back within 2 working days.

Is there any other option to check the status of credit card application?

My MMT Signature Card has been activated in iMobile app. But Expression is still visible. Should I have to ask them to close? As the CC executive said it'll automatically be deactivated after activation of New card.

Also, I've paid the annual fee of Expressions card. Now since I haven't used it more than 1 month, can I get the refund of it?
Yes... After u use new card fir first time it should automatically get removed... If not contact customer care and request fir fees reversal of expression card.... Calling will be best as it will give u

Thanks. Called them and it was done on call itself. I must say ICICI Bank has one of the best customer care services as compared to other top banks.
 
CC rejection cases are not under the jurisdiction of RBI Ombudsman. Tried it sometime back when SBI rejected my application for reasons still unknown to me till date.

But in my wife’s case they didn’t decline straight away, first they have accepted that the application got delinked due to technical glitch in their system. After raising complaint to various levels, now they are declining without a reason. My complaint to RBI ombudsman was about their inability to process my application due to their system’s technical glitch.

If the application can’t be processed, I want them to atleast remove their enquiry from CIBIL

In this case, you need to be careful with your wording and make sure you have necessary proofs with you. ICICI will most likely try to play it down unless you can prove that the bank is at fault.

that's not only confusing for normal users but also falls in gray area with no transparency. If you are eligible and have proofs, write to headservicequality@icicibank.com and hope application get approved. also, show them that you are a worthy customer and avail multiple icici products and have plan to.
