Icici Emeralde Card: Renew or Close

Hi i am having ICICI Emeralde alongwith Infinia, Axis Magnus, Vistara Infinite Axis, I was wondering is it worth paying fees for ICICI emeralde.

I do occassionally get some discounts such as on BMS, Swiggy etc but does it justify paying 10k+ Taxes as most of my transactions are diverted on other cards.

Convert it to Emirates co branded if you wish and use Emirates for travel. Else try to make it LTF.

With the card portfolio, you seem to be well covered. You can try to get retention offer for ICICI Emeralde as LTF, otherwise may choose to close it. Don't think it adds any significant value.

Emeralde is not issued as LTF not even FYF. Better move to other LTF card from ICICI if one wish for occasional ICICI card specific offers.

BMS is covered by Axis Magnus. You can get instant vouchers for Swiggy/Gyftr using Infinia. I think you should downgrade to Sapphiro/Rubyx for an LTF offering that covers ICICI other rare cases.

Also you get additional bookmyshow visa infinite offers on both magnus and infinia too if they are on visa platform…

What do you get from this 10k+ Taxes card that you don't already get on other cards (that you already hold or are available as LTF)

Don’t renew if paid

For these premium, non-LTF cards, it would take substantial amount of transactions to match it with the rewards and break even with the yearly cost+gst, luxury benefits like hotel stays, airport meet and greet are unnecessary and are not value for money. People often are compelled to spend more than they should for credit card offers, fee waiver etc.

Most of these reward vouchers are sales tactics to divert consumers to specific hotel chains, brands etc.

I normally use LTF cashback cards, which have no such fee waiver stipulation baggage, and have monthly cash credited, after all cash is king any day 🙂

Cashback cards are the best anyday.

You can get FYF Emeralde with wealth select account with 25 lakhs and LTF with TRV of 1Cr

I tried finding out this information online and via RM, etc. but couldn't find any.

I request you to please confirm the source and any instance where a Wealth Select customer received an Emeralde card FYF or LTF based on the above-mentioned criteria.

Thank you @jack333
