ICICI Emeralde Private Metal Card - Investment ask

I think, you are already holding TB. And your primary complaint is about you being not able to apply for EPM while you had private banking status.
Yes, I already have the Times Black Credit Card. However, my primary complaint is not about the card itself but about the poor services. The inability to apply for a new card despite having Private Banking status is an additional issue on my complaint list.

Got it. I wonder despite having private banking status if you are unable to get it, then what to say.

It's not that dificult to get the ICICI EPM.

Profile: Net salary credit of 3lac+ and and no prior account/banking relationship with ICICI. Previously held 4 ICICI LTF credit cards including Saphirro Dual Variant LTF with 6lac+ limit

Process followed:
1. Approached Corporate RM on 27th March for EPM against transfer of salary account. Submitted last 2 months salary slips along with email request to upgrade to EPM
2. RM came back on 28th March with in-principle approval with condition of moving the salary account to ICICI Wealth
3. Wealth account opened with local branch person visiting home on same day i.e. 28th March. Account activated EOD.
4. Corporate RM processed EPM application on 29th March
5. 30th March EPM card was showing in ICICI iMobile app
6. Card dispatched on 1st April and received next day on 2nd April.
7. Card application to receipt of Card - in approx. 4 days

There could be various factors that helped here like March ending, existing Infinia credit card with high limit, 3L+ salary and some luck.

Hope this helps!!!

Congratulations @CreditMaster

What was your ICICI credit card limit at the time of applying and has the limit been enhanced after the issuance of EPM?

Congratulations, first of all! 🎉 You received the card for two main reasons.

First, ICICI Bank has always prioritized salary account holders, and having a salary of around ₹3 lakh per month is a significant factor. At this income level, not just ICICI but almost any bank in India would be willing to offer you their top-tier credit card.

Secondly, you have now been classified as a Wealth customer, which further strengthens your eligibility. Additionally, a crucial requirement for the ICICI Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card is having an existing ICICI credit card with a ₹6 lakh credit limit. Since you already met both criteria—your high salary and an existing ICICI card with a ₹6 lakh limit—your application was approved smoothly.

Had either of these conditions been missing—whether a lower salary or not having a ₹6 lakh limit on your existing card—your application would have been rejected in 99% of cases.

Nevertheless, you have successfully received the card. Congratulations once again!

No it has remained the same, but I'm sure with active usage that will go up very soon 🙂

Thank you. What you're saying about the factors might be true.

What I am also trying to highlight as part of my post is that the process was completed in record time of ~ 4 days. That goes to saying that corporate RMs have a lot more say in such product approvals than a regular wealth RM or BM of a local branch.
